Augusta, NJ – February 23, 2021 – The Sussex County Miners, a professional baseball team that plays in the Frontier League, a partner of Major League Baseball, today announced their schedule for the upcoming 2021 season. The Miners will kickoff their season on May 27th with a home opener against the New Jersey Jackals at Skylands Stadium.

This season, the Frontier League will be split into two conferences of two divisions each. The Miners will play in a 96 game season in the Northeast Division, including 48 home and away games.

“We cannot wait to return to Skylands Stadium, one of the premier sports and entertainment venues in North New Jersey” said Al Dorso, Owner of Sussex County Miners. “I anticipate a successful home opener that will leave our fans excited for this season.”

To account for player safety and enhance regional rivalries, the 2021 schedule will be played largely in conference. Additionally, the Miners will adhere to all New Jersey state and league COVID-19 protocols to create a safe environment for fans.

Due to a compressed schedule and logistics involved in staging the event, the Frontier League will not have an All-Star Game in 2021. The playoffs will begin on Tuesday, September 14th with the four division winners qualifying.
