Sussex County Miners to Showcase Hometown Heroes and Engage Fans This Summer
Skylands Stadium to Feature Hometown Heroes Night, Grand Slam Beerfest, and More Fun-filled In-game Events
AUGUSTA, NJ – March 30, 2021 – The Sussex County Miners, a professional baseball team that competes in the Frontier League, a partner of Major League Baseball, today announced its lineup of summer events that is set to provide the ultimate fan experience. The Miners will play their home opener at Skylands Stadium on May 27. For the first time ever, the Miners will be featuring a Memorial Day Weekend carnival that begins on May 27 and runs through May 31.
“We are excited for yet another fun season of Miners baseball here at Skylands Stadium,” said Justin Ferrarella, General Manager of the Sussex County Miners. “We can’t wait to feel the atmosphere of the best fans in the world; we missed the energy. It’s time for our best season yet!”
The Miners are excited to feature these noteworthy events throughout the 2021 schedule:
- Hometown Heroes Night – Sunday, July 4
- Grand Slam Beerfest, including a Miners Manager Bobby Jones Bobblehead – Saturday, July 24
- Labor Day Weekend Food Truck Festival Night – Saturday, September 4
- 9/11 20th Year Anniversary – Saturday, September 11

To account for player safety and enhance regional rivalries, the 2021 schedule will be played largely in conference. Additionally, the Miners will adhere to all New Jersey state and league COVID-19 protocols to create a safe environment for fans at all summer events.

The Sussex County Miners are New Jersey’s newest professional baseball team. The Miners play a 96- game season from May through September. Their home games are played at Skylands Stadium, one of the premier sports and entertainment venues in North Jersey.
