Miners Exhibition Games will Benefit Non-Profits

Non-profit groups can purchase blocks of tickets for just $5 per ticket, and sell the tickets for $10 to benefit their organizations

Augusta, N.J. – March 9, 2015 – The Sussex County Miners today announced that they will hold pre-season exhibition games in May to benefit local non-profit groups. The Miners will offer non-profits the opportunity to purchase blocks of tickets for just $5 per ticket, and sell the tickets for $10 to benefit their organizations. The benefit games will be held on May 16 against the New Jersey Jackals and on May 17 against the Rockland Boulders, at Skylands Stadium in Augusta, N.J.

“These exhibition games are the inaugural baseball events at Skylands Stadium in 2015. The Miners would like to invite scout troops, churches, PTOs, school groups, service organizations and other area non-profits to come, enjoy a day out at the ballpark and be part of Miners history,” said Dave Chase, general manager of the Sussex County Miners.

“The pre-season exhibition games are a great way for local organizations to fundraise, while at the same time enjoying exciting competitive baseball. Fans will love seeing our lineup of veteran players and up-and-coming rookies take on the Jackals and the Boulders,” added Steve Shirley, team manager.
